Get to Know Us
Like any great idea, we began as a spark. And the spark grew into:
- Board books
- Picture books
- Early readers
- Chapter books
Libraries are treasure troves. Home book shelves are filled with old friends. Every book has the potential to impact a child in positive, lasting ways.
We believe young children should be read to – often. At least once a day. Read-to children become readers, and readers become thinkers, feelers, creators, and doers. They imagine and invent. They travel and tend gardens. They know where to find inspiration and answers.
One of our fondest memories is bedtime storytime. We’d dim the lights and cuddle up with our kids to read their favorite books. We wanted to instill a love for reading. We knew we had succeeded when our children read their own books by flashlight under the covers.
We also aim to foster family connectedness. A routine that includes sharing good books and stories can help children relax, cope with stress, and bond with their parents.
